Glitter Puzzle!!!!

So I've been working hard on school related things, but I HAVE been doing some puzzle related things...

Lets see, first of all I disassembled DR, it took about an hour, I guess putting my time up to 70 hours total (but I don't think I'm going to count that)

I took a page out of Toms book over at sex drugs and jigsaw puzzles, and broke it up into 16 sections, created my own holding box, and packed the package into the DR box... Here are some pics.

First of all, a Picture to illustrate the in/out pattern of the knobs on each section of DR.
And the box I made, and stored!

Meanwhile I dropped by the jigsaw puzzle section at walmart (I always find such nice surprises there) and found this

10 puzzle set of thomas kinkade puzzles =) I couldn't resist =D

Aaaaaaand of course I immediately went and combined all 10 puzzles into one giant 3,400 piece puzzle =) this should be fun!

Finally, aside from recital stuff, schoolwork, and another secret project I've been working on behind the scenes for the past 6 months or so (Can't say anything yet, but I will say I'm within a month of being finished) here is what I've been working on for the past few days!

 Edges done!
Animals and all other pieces sorted into two groups

 Small animals done
 Tiger done

All animals added to main puzzle

 Water done
The waterfall pieces about to be worked on

aaaaand done!!

This is one of the nice little finds I found at walmart... It's a 750 piece ceaco puzzle... The pieces were kind of cheap cardboard, but the image ended up being really nice, and the pieces fit together nicely... There are two other puzzles in this set, which I'm going to do next, so I'll post that stuff in the coming weeks.

  1. Boy you are a glutton for punishment....mixing the 10 Thomas Kinkade puzzles together. Tom and his wife sent me a mixed up set of 3 Kinkade puzzles as a smartass gift....and no pictures of any of the puzzles either! LOL So, I'm completely working in the dark on those. I have done the borders of all three, but nothing more. It will have to wait until after I'm finished with this section of the Life puzzle.

Top secret project huh? Hmmm....I wonder if it's another papercraft project? Looking forward to hearing more in the coming months....

Nice job on taking apart DR. Did you make your box by just cutting up another one so that it was the right size to just barely hold one section of DR? That will make storing it until you have it all finished and are ready to put it all together easier.

  2. Never heard back from you on the comments above, but I'm guessing it's because you've been super busy. How did your recital go? Well, I hope. Now get back to puzzling, Mr.! LOL

yes I did cut up a bigger box, and it made quite a solid box for the DR...

and if you want gluttony for punishment... I ordered the bombardment of algiers 9000 puzzle with the money I received from people who came to my recital =) THAT is going to be tough...
